ExxonMobil Announces Retirements of Rene Dahan and Gene Renna
Mr. Dahan, 60, has served as executive vice president since August 1, 2001, and as a director since 1998. He became a senior vice president in 1995. His responsibilities include the Corporation's worldwide chemicals and coal and mineral operations, ExxonMobil Global Services Company, controller's, corporate planning and public affairs. He joined the Exxon organization in 1963.
Mr. Renna, 57, served as executive vice president since August 1, 2001. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and a director since the merger of Exxon and Mobil in 1999. His responsibilities include fuels marketing, refining and supply. Prior to the merger he was president and chief operating officer of Mobil Corporation. He joined the Mobil organization in 1968.

RENE DAHAN
Rene Dahan is a director and executive vice president of Exxon Mobil
Corporation.
Mr. Dahan joined the Exxon organization in 1963 as a process technician at its refinery in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He became manager of the Esso Nederland's supply and planning department in 1973 and was named manager of its refining department in 1974.
He was named head of the corporate planning division of Esso Europe in London in 1977 and became manager of Esso Europe's natural gas department in 1979. He transferred to Exxon Corporation headquarters in the U.S. in 1981 as deputy manager of the petroleum products department.
He returned to Europe in 1983 as executive vice president of Esso B.V. in Breda, Netherlands, Exxon's affiliate responsible for oil and gas operations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. He became president and CEO of Esso B.V. in 1985.
Mr. Dahan was appointed executive vice president of ECI, responsible for Exxon's international oil and gas interests, in 1991. He was elected a vice president of Exxon Corporation and appointed president of ECI in 1992. He was elected a senior vice president of Exxon Corporation in 1995 and was named a director in 1998. He was elected executive vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation in August of 2001.
Mr. Dahan is a member of the International Advisory Board of Instituto de Empresa, the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement International, and the Board of Trustees of the United States Council for International Business.
EUGENE A. RENNAEugene A. Renna is executive vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation.
Before the merger of Exxon and Mobil, Mr. Renna was president and chief operating officer (COO) of Mobil Corporation and was a member of Mobil's board of directors.
As president and COO, Mr. Renna was responsible for overseeing all of Mobil's Global Exploration and Producing, Marketing & Refining, Chemicals and Technology business activities.
Immediately prior to serving as president and COO, Mr. Renna was executive vice president of Mobil Corporation. In that role he provided executive oversight for Mobil's North America Marketing & Refining, Europe & CIS, South America and Supply, Trading & Transportation business groups, as well as the company's executive development program.
Mr. Renna served from 1986 to 1996 as president of Mobil's worldwide Marketing & Refining Division.
He joined Mobil in 1968 as a staff analyst in the Financial Analysis Department of U.S. Marketing and subsequently advanced through various financial analysis, marketing and planning positions before being appointed manager, Crude Supply, in U.S. Supply, Distribution, and Traffic in 1976. He was assigned to Corporate Planning in 1977, named president of Mobil South, Inc. in 1979, and executive vice president, international, Marketing & Refining in 1983. He was appointed vice president, Planning and Economics of Mobil Oil Corporation in 1985 and to the same position for Mobil Corporation in 1986. He was elected a senior vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation in 1999 and executive vice president in 2001.
Mr. Renna is a member of the board of the American Petroleum Institute and of the Advisory Council of the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He is also a member of the board of Fortune Brands, Inc.
Mr. Renna graduated from Rutgers University in 1966 with a Business Administration degree and from Cornell University in 1968 with an M.B.A. At Rutgers, he was named the Rutgers Football Scholar Athlete of the Year (1965) and was an Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Merit Medal winner. At Cornell, he was elected a member of Phi Kappa Phi.
